Full-time OD for a high volume practice in Portland, Maine
Maine Eye Center is seeking a full-time Optometrist to join our high-volume, subspecialty-driven practice in Portland, Maine. This role offers a unique blend of clinical variety: close collaboration with our surgical team on post-operative care, urgent care consultation, and the opportunity to build and manage a personal patient panel. This is an excellent opportunity for an optometrist who wants meaningful surgical co-management experience alongside the autonomy of their own clinic - all in one of New England’s most sought-after places to live and work.
Looking ahead, this position also carries the opportunity to take on a teaching role, mentoring a future optometry resident as our practice builds out a formal fellowship program.

Volunteer Position: Special Olympics
Special Olympics Maine is seeking a licensed optometrist to serve as the Volunteer Clinical Director for our Opening Eyes vision screening program. In this role, you will oversee and participate in vision screenings for athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities, help identify athletes who may need follow-up eye care, and serve as an advocate for eye health within the Special Olympics community. Training and program support are provided through Special Olympics North America. We ask for participation in at least one state-level screening event each year.
